Why is there a need
to identify stressors?

We recommend periodic assessments done on our students, we can track each child’s progress regularly and institute timely intervention should there be signs of deterioration. Grounded in research, these tests employ standard questions and scoring normed against large population sets to find out poor habits and behaviour in children that interfere with learning, and they are triggered by limited problem solving and self-help skills.

Upon entry in our programs, every student will received an individualized assessment and recommendation reports.

Stage 1: Progress Report

The progress report focuses on the important learning attributes such as attitude, concentration, sequential processing, receptiveness, conscientious, auditory memory, logic, reasoning, behavior, sustain attention, visual memory, saccadic fixation motivation. These are essential for a child to learn proficiently in a classroom environment. A low score in these attributes indicates a risk for an underlying problem. Because a simple parent assessment cannot diagnose your child, we strongly recommend discussing your concerns with us to see if we need to further assess the issues.

Stage 2: Learning Risk Assessment

The assessment focuses on time, procrastination, concentration, memory, study aid, test anxiety, organization and processing information, motivation, learned helplessness, reading, and selecting ideas, writing, environment, technological usage, Hamilton Scale of anxiety, learning style, perceived stress test and early detection of learning disability* and the results will show where the child has a shortfall in their learning.

Parents and caregivers will then receive a good picture of what the academic issues are so that they can look for ways and means to support their children.

Assessment s
uitable for all students who have a low score in progress report or underperforming in school examination.

Stage 3: Family Risk Assessment

The test focuses on parental stress level, developmental assets and parenting style. The common issues that can affect children’s performance at school include changes in family relationships, economic instability, and sibling bullying. If your family is confronted with a difficult challenge, communicating with your child is key. While you don’t have to go into detail about the problem at hand, you also shouldn’t keep them in the dark.

Parents receive a good picture of how to communicate effectively with their teens and create positive connections to increase academic motivation.

We all struggle. If your family is currently trying to navigate one of the problems mentioned above or another problem altogether, you might feel hopeless, helpless, or guilty that your child is or could be affected. Our family coach is here to provide support through this challenging time.
