Revised Terms and Conditions

 

  • “Academic Year” means an academic year at Minds@Work by Jeremy, which runs from 1st November to 31st October of the following year;

  • “Calendar Month” means a full month commencing on the 1st day of a calendar month and ending on the last day of that calendar month;

  • Billing Cycle” means course fee(s) billed once every month (maybe 4 or 5 lessons);

  • Minds@Work By Jeremy Pte. Ltd. (the “Company”)

 

Conditions of Registration & Enrolment

  1. The enrolment of the Student in the course(s) indicated on the Course Registration Form (the “Registered Course(s)”) is conditional upon, inter alia:

  2. payment of a registration fee;

  3. payment of a material fee for the Registered Course(s);

  4. advance payment of the monthly for all Registered Course(s) before the 1st day of each Calendar Month or start of the Registered Course(s); and,

  5. in the event that course fee(s) remain(s) unpaid at the end of the Calendar Month in which they are due for payment, we reserve the right to disallow the Student from attending any class(es) in the Registered Course(s) from the following month.

  6. Notwithstanding anything in these General Terms, the Student is not entitled to receive any curriculum materials (in whatever form on whatever media) for any Registered Courses which he or she has not paid for. In the event that the Student is registered for any of the Registered Course(s) after an Academic Year / term has begun, the Student shall be entitled to receive the curriculum materials only from the date on which he or she begins attending the Registered Course(s).

  7. Classes will not be held on the eve of Chinese New Year and any other public holidays which may be gazetted by the Government of Singapore from time to time. No make-up classes will be scheduled, and no refund of course fees will be given in lieu of any classes which would otherwise have been held on the aforementioned days.

  8. The Company shall not be obliged to refund any part of the course fees in the event that the Student fails to attend any class in the Registered Course(s) for any reason whatsoever. 

 

Payment

  1. All fees are payable via PayNow.

  2. For payment using PayNow, please send via our mobile Number 91001698. Entity Name: Jeremy Aw Minds@Work. Please indicate on "Reference" your child's name and level.

  3. Tuition fee will be collected on a monthly basis, as per lesson schedule as provided by the Company.

  4. Payment must be made in advance by the 20th of the calendar month for the lessons to be conducted. Upon failure of payment on due date, a late fee of $50 will be imposed.

  5. All fees paid are not refundable and not transferable.

  6. Fees paid are not refundable for lesson/s missed by the student. If the student is absent, he/she will receive the material for the missed lesson from his/her teacher in the following lesson.

  7. In the event that the student wishes to withdraw class at any point of time and/or before academic year ends, all material, course and administration fees are not refundable or pro-rated.

 

Make-up Lesson

 

  1. Your child is strongly advised to attend all lessons so as to ensure minimal disruption in their learning experience as there will be no replacement for lessons missed and there will be no fee rebate.

  2. In the event that the student fails to attend a class, we may at our sole discretion, allow the student to make up the missed lesson by attending another on-going class during the same academic week (i.e. from Monday to Sunday) provided that there is more than one class available.

  3. In the event that there is no alternate class available, the fees shall not be refunded or pro-rated, even if the student has valid reason for missing class. 

 

School Holidays

 

  1. The lessons during the school holidays are part of our curriculum and calendar year. It is therefore essential that all students carry on the lessons until completion for the year as there will be no replacement for lessons missed nor refund of fee.

  2. If your child is absent for more than 2 lessons without valid reason and/or you need to stop lesson during school holidays, parents will need to take note:

  • The child would miss a part of the full year’s curriculum and no make-up lessons or refund will be given

  • The placement will not be guaranteed nor reserved. As our centre has limited slots with live registration taking place, your placement will be released for open booking by the public.

  • For guaranteed placement after the holidays, advance payment of the course fee(s) of all Registered Course(s) before the first day of Billing Cycle.

  • In the event that course fee(s) due for any Billing Cycle remain(s) unpaid by the third week of that Billing Cycle, the Company shall disallow the Student from attending any class(es) in the Registered Course(s). 

  • The Company shall not be obliged to refund any part of the course fees in the event that the Student fails to attend any class in the Registered Course(s) for any reason whatsoever. 

 

Withdrawal

 

  1. In the event that you/your child wishes to withdraw class at any point of time and/or before academic year ends, all material, course and administration fees are not refundable or pro-rated.

  2. All monies paid are non-refundable and non-transferrable to another student, regardless of whether the registered course(s) has / have commenced.

  3. In the event that you/your child wishes to withdraw class at any point of time and/or before academic year ends, all remaining material will not be provided and given even the material fees had been paid for.

 

Copyright

  1. The printed materials are copyrights of Minds@Work by Jeremy Pte Ltd. No further reproduction and distribution of material is permitted without the written permission of the respective copyright owners. You are also advised against making the materials available for review by any 3rd-party for the purpose of copyright protection.

  2. While Minds@Work by Jeremy will exercise due diligence and care, we cannot be held liable for any accidents sustained in the Centre’s premises before the commencement, during and/or after the end of lessons.

  3. Apart from gazette public holidays, lessons will carry on as per schedules provided by the centre including school holidays unless rescheduled by the tutor.

  4. Minds@Work by Jeremy reserves the right to discontinue any student from the tuition programme if he or she does not meet the stated terms & conditions herein.

  5. Minds@Work by Jeremy reserves the right to change the tutors and class schedule at their own discretion.

  6. Minds@Work by Jeremy reserves the right to revise the Terms and Conditions from time to time.  Any of the T&Cs may be out of date at any given time. We shall not be liable for the T&Cs if for any reason, is unavailable at any time or for any period. If we decide to change our T&Cs, we will post the revised T&Cs and, if appropriate, notify you by email or hardcopy format.

  7. The Parent consents to the collection, use and disclosure of his/her personal data as well as the personal data of the student in accordance with the purposes specified in the Personal Data Protection Policy.

Intellectual Property & Media Rights

 

  1. Unless stated otherwise, the Company owns the intellectual property and / or licensing rights subsisting in all worksheets and other study materials distributed or used during the Registered Course(s), and both the Parent and Student are prohibited from copying, reproducing, modifying, distributing, displaying, performing or transmitting in any form or by any means whatsoever (including mechanical, electronic, recording, photocopying or otherwise) the abovementioned worksheets and other study materials without the Company’s prior written permission.

  2. The Company may copy, reproduce, display, distribute and use any photographs or videos taken of the Student during the Registered Course(s), as well as any intellectual property produced by the Student as part of the Registered Course(s).

  3. The Student hereby agrees to grant to the Company a royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable, non-exclusive, transferable license to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, translate, create derivative works from, distribute, perform, and display such works of the Student created in the course of or in preparation for Registered Courses(s) (in whole or part) worldwide and/or to incorporate it in other works in any form, media, or technology now known or later developed.

  4. The Company may publish the Student’s academic achievements in any form or media at any time, even after the Student has withdrawn from the Course(s).

 

 Other Conditions

 

  1. The Company reserves the right to, and shall in its sole discretion, (a) transfer, combine or dissolves class, and / or (b) terminate the Student’s place in any of the Registered Course(s).

  2. While the Company will take reasonable precautions to ensure the safety of the student, the Company assumes no liability for personal injury, loss or damage of any kind whatsoever which might be sustained by the student in undertaking any activity or anything during the Registered Course(s), whether under the discretion of the Company or otherwise, and generally for any such injury, loss or damage howsoever caused except by the wilful default of the Company.

  3. The Parent hereby releases the Company from all liability for such injury, loss or damage of any other kind whatsoever which might be sustained by the Student in undertaking any activity during the Registered Course(s) or / and in the premise, whether under the direction of the Company or otherwise, and generally for any such injury, loss or damage howsoever caused except by the wilful default of the Company.

  4. The Company shall not be liable for any default due to any act of God, war, strike, lockout, industrial action, fire, flood, drought, tempest or other event beyond the Company’s reasonable control. 

  5. The Registration / Renewal Form and these general Terms contain the whole agreement between the Parent, Student and the Company and supersedes any prior written or oral agreement between them relating to the Student’s enrolment in the Registered Course(s) and the parties confirm that they have not entered into this agreement on the basis of any representations that are not expressly incorporated in the Registration / Renewal Form and these general Terms.
